You are right, there is a lot involved in the downsizing process. Everything from determining where you want to move to, buying your new place, readying your new home for your move in, preparing your exisiting home for sale, selling your existing home, moving out of your old home, moving into your new home, settling in and much more! At Proptimise Property Group we can be your ally in helping you navigate the entire process, from beginning to end. Or, if you prefer we can assist you with only the components that you would like help with. For example you may only need help with buying your new place. During our initial conversation we can determine what your needs are and where you'd like our help. Think of it like selecting from a menu of options where you can select the entire course or only the entree or mains or dessert. Its totally up to you!
Absolutely yes. If this is what you would like then we would certainly recommend it. Its your choice as to who you want involved. It can be just yourself or you can involve family or a friend.
We'd certainly be happy to sit down and have a conversation with your parent/grandparent to understand their position. We can discuss all the pros and cons of downsizing and what all of the options are. We do not however recommend forcing someone to do something against their will. If we can understand what someones reservations are about downsizing then perhaps we will be able to help alleviate and address their concerns. It might be that they simply feel too overwhelmed given whats involved in the downsizing process and perhaps they don't know where to start. If we can explain that we can be their support, confidant and guide through the entire process, perhaps that will help them overcome their fears and reservations. If it turns out that they are adamant that downsizing is not for them, then we can also discuss ageing in place options for them. Either way, we understand and can help.
This can be a tricky subject for obvious reasons. Its best to have a conversation with the family where everyone can express their concerns and opinions. Ultimately it is your home and the decision is yours to make. Do what is best for you because that will be what is best for your family also and they would likely understand and support your decision.

Yes as a buyers agent we will discuss your needs and talk through all of your options. We will then help you secure a suitable property that meets your needs and that fits your budget. This could be another house, an apartment, a villa, a retirement village/over 55's or something else.
Definitely not. Proptimise Property Group will either sell your home for you or will act as your advocate (vendors advocate) to engage another agency to sell your home. Either way you do not pay more sales commission than you would normally pay. If you engage Proptimise Property Group to help with the entire downsizing process (preparing for sale, selling, buying, moving, readying your new home) you will have visibility of the fee structure for each item and you can slect which parts you'd like to engage us for.there will be additional fees involved.
